9/06/07. This website was updated using 100% solar power. The Packard Bell computer that this software runs on will now be entirely operated on battery power generated by a 20 watt photovoltaic system (Xantrex absorbed-glass-mat lead acid battery charged by 20 W PV collector; see photo). We have now entered the solar age!
 

5/17/07. Several Ananda Columbus members recently attended a weekend retreat in northern Kentucky led by long-time Ananda ministers Diksha and Gyandeve McCord, of Ananda Village, CA. The retreat, on the topic of Spiritual Magnetism and How to Develop It, was very inspiring.

7/8/06  Swami Kriyananda, founder of Ananda, has come out with what may be his greatest book, The Essence of the Bhagavad-Gita   Explained by Paramhansa Yogananda.  The book is a collection and interpretation of the inspired commentaries of Paramhansa Yogananda on the well-known spiritual scripture, The Bhagavad-Gita.   Visit Ananda.org for more information on what`s inside and on how to purchase.

On Nov. 3, 2005, The Life and Mission of Paramhansa Yogananda & The Science of  Kriya Yoga.  Two Ananda ministers from California were hosted by Ananda Columbus.  The LoCicero`s meditated with our group Wednesday night, then gave a public lecture in Columbus on Thursday.   Community reception for the talk was warm as the LoCicero`s gave a dynamic and inspiring presentation.

    Mr. LoCicero is a native of Youngstown, Ohio and gave a well-received talk there in 2004.  Together in Columbus they spoke of their 25 years of yoga and meditation practice and of the mission of Sri Yogananda.  In addition Krishna Das and Mantra Devi described their rich experiences of living in Ananda Church spiritual communities around the United States.   An inspiring multi-media presentation was another highlight of the evening.
